Life has not been easy for friend of The Good King, Miss Jenny. As a kid, the grown ups who should have taken care of her treated her pretty terribly. It left her without a home to go home to on the holidays. Being a grown up hasn't been easy either. Several life-long sicknesses make it really hard for her to get out of bed every day. But does that keep her from being awesome? Nope. That's what makes her a champion.
She's a loving wife and mom because she knows the value of family. She teaches English to immigrants because she knows what it's like to be unable to go home. She loves on girls who have been rescued from slavery because she knows what it's like to be mistreated. Jenny the Champion deserved some love from The Good King Tribe.
And The Good King Tribe SHOWED UP! This is what Miss Jenny had to say about receiving all those sweet coloring pages...
"I want to tell you about the sweetest love that showed up this weekFrom the littlest hands to some not so little came these sweet pictures and notes
Tears streamed in a bit of disbelief and humbled awe as I held all that love in my hands
It was an overwhelming grace to me at the end of a hard day
It showed up late in terms of how long it took to get here but it was right on time for me (seriously our mail is unusually slow)
I didn't even realize how much I needed that until my tears reminded me
I don't feel like a champion or a warrior. In fact I was feeling quite the opposite
I happen to know the strongest warrior there is though and I'm so humbled that he would use the hearts of children to encourage me
One picture would have done it
48....well, I'm undone
Thank you to Follow The Good King ministry
Thank you, Ellen, for nominating me to be showered with all this love"
Way to go, Tribe! You're using your love of coloring to change the world!
